Join us Friday, May 29th, from 5:30–8:30 PM (rain or shine) for an evening to EAT, SHOP, and PLAY. Enjoy live music from JD and The Stonemasons, bringing lively Irish American roots music to the harbor.

Bring your postcard and visit at least 15 participating businesses and non-profits to collect stamps (event day only). Turn in your completed card at the Project Sunapee table for a chance to win one of five $100 “Sunapee Cash” prizes, redeemable at participating locations.

18TH ANNUAL SUNAPEE GREEN-UP DAY

This Saturday, the community is coming together for a town-wide cleanup—and you’re invited to be part of it. Roads are being claimed quickly, so sign up now to choose your streets and secure your spot before they’re gone.

Volunteers can register online in advance or in person at 9:00 AM on Saturday at the Sunapee Highway Department (621 Route 11). Be sure to review the required safety checklist, pick up your blue trash bags at the Transfer Station exit, and leave filled bags roadside for pickup on Monday.

As a thank-you, everyone who participates in the cleanup—on any day—is invited to a FREE community picnic lunch at noon on Saturday in Sunapee Harbor. It’s a great chance to relax, connect, and celebrate the difference you’ve made.

Sunapee Candidates Meet & Greet!
THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 19th at 6:30 pm at the Lake Sunapee Methodist Church.

Join us to meet the residents running for town office, learn more about their ideas and priorities, and ask the questions that matter most to you. An informed vote starts with conversation—this is a great chance to connect, listen, and be part of Sunapee’s civic process.

Town voting will be held on Tuesday, March 10th, 2026 at the Sherburne Gymnasium from 8:00 am - 7:00 pm

Sunapee Village Christmas Gingerbread House Contest 2025!

Roll up your sleeves, sprinkle on some holiday magic, and get ready for the sweetest showdown of the season! Our annual Gingerbread House Contest is back—and this year, we’re doubling the fun with two delicious categories: Pre-Made Kit Creations and Homemade Gingerbread Masterpieces!

Pre-Made Gingerbread House Kit Category

Got a kit? Then you’re good to go!
Start with a pre-made gingerbread house kit and then let your imagination run wild. Add candy, icing, sparkles—anything edible that turns your house into a sugary showstopper.

Need a kit? We’ve got you! A limited number will be available for pickup at the Abbot Library December 3–12. Grab one while supplies last!

Homemade Gingerbread House Category

Calling all gingerbread architects!
Build your creation completely from scratch using only edible materials (your base can be non-edible). No glue, cardboard, plastic, or other non-edible helpers—just pure baking brilliance. Show us what you’ve got!

Judging & Prizes

Both categories will be judged by People’s Choice, so bring your best and rally your fans! Each category winner will take home a festive prize and, of course, hometown bragging rights.

Drop-Off & Pick-Up

All entries must be delivered to The Livery on
Saturday, December 13 between 10:00 am and 1:00 pm

The Countdown to Sunapee Village Christmas is ON!

Don’t forget to make your reservations to visit with Santa!
Our 1–2 pm time slot is fully booked, but Santa still has openings from 2–3 pm and 3–4 pm.

Be sure to arrive by 12:45 pm to watch Santa make his grand entrance by firetruck!

While you wait for your special visit, enjoy a full lineup of holiday fun:
• Decorate gingerbread cookies
• Create festive crafts
• Get your face painted
• Explore Sunapee Harbor with a holiday I-Spy game (with prizes!)
• Take a horse and carriage ride around the harbor

We hope to see you at Sunapee Village Christmas on December 13th! There will be festive fun for everyone—visit with Santa, enjoy an I Spy hunt, decorate gingerbread cookies, take a magical horse-and-buggy ride through Sunapee Harbor, sip hot chocolate, and squeeze in some last-minute holiday shopping.

This free community event is made possible through the support of our annual auction. We’ve started posting auction items, with more added soon. From adorable crochet kits for the crafty people in your life to gift cards and one-of-a-kind treasures, there’s something for everyone.

SUNAPEE VILLAGE CHRISTMAS!!! December 13th from 1-4 pm.

Write a letter to Santa to mail in the special mailbox in Sunapee Harbor. Include your return address and receive a response from Santa, Mrs. Claus, or the Elves!

The Livery: Visit Santa (reservations required), gingerbread cookie decorations, face painting, embellish a holiday card for our troops, gingerbread house contest, and much more.

Santa Firetruck Parade: 12:45 pm Departs from Safety Services on Sargent Rd, to Central St, River Rd, through Sunapee Harbor to The Livery.

Sunapee Village: Grab an I Spy sheet from The Livery to participate in the scavenger hunt. Take a casual stroll through the village and stop to snap some great family photos! Enjoy wandering the harbor spreading holiday cheer!

Horse & Carriage Rides from 1-4 pm in Sunapee Harbor.
