SISTER TO SISTER Each One, Teach One In 1993, Ms. Hakima Muhammad and Dr. Pamela D. Hall founded Black Woman in Focus. Saturday. Ms. Muhammad and Dr. Hall. Today, the visions of Ms.

In 1995, the program Supreme, Unity, Perpetuating, Eternal, and Revolution was branded as S.U.P.E.R. Muhammad and Dr. Hall recruited the help of students at Hampton University and developed a campus organization called Sister to Sister. For over 26 years, SISTER TO SISTER has partnered with many community organizations to do events such as health fairs, Clean the Bay Fun Day, Tribute to the Black

Woman, and much more; because of this SISTER TO SISTER has made a name for itself by receiving numerous community service awards under the leadership of Ms. Hall have continued. Currently, Hampton University female students have committed themselves to being mentors to young ladies, between the ages of five and seventeen, in the Hampton and Newport News areas.

ABOUT MAYOR JONES:
Phillip Jones is the 27th Mayor of Newport News, Virginia, and the city's youngest elected mayor. Focused on strengthening education, enhancing public safety, and bringing innovation to City Hall, his leadership earned Newport News its first-ever All-America City designation, recognizing the community's engagement and progress.

A graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, Mayor Jones also holds an MBA and MPP from Harvard University. He served as a Marine Corps infantry officer on four continents and continues to serve as a Major in the Marine Corps Reserve. He has also brought private-sector experience from his work advising Fortune 500 companies, cities, and nonprofits as a consultant with Bain & Company.

From mental health advocacy and re-entry programs to the safety of our seniors, come hear how Sheriff Morgan is working to make Newport News a safer, more equitable place for every resident from the Southeast to Denbigh.
