Mission Statement: To provide leisure services in the southeast community through athletic and culturally enriching activities. Through positive programming and mentorship, the Doris Miller Community Center is a beacon of light for those who wish to have a safe haven to participate in events that foster unity and respect. Our main thrust is to make programs available that promote the health, happiness, and well being of our participants.

Registration Now Open for 2014 Virginia Senior Games The Virginia Senior Games will be back in Newport News May 14-17. Athletes age 50 years old and better from across the state will participate in 21 sports at venues throughout the city. Registration deadline: April 18th.

Happy New Years!!! Doris Miller Community Center and all Newport News Offices will be closed on Tuesday, December 31 & Wednesday, January 1st! DMCC will resume normal hours of operation on Thursday, January 2, 2014!
