🐾 9 DAYS TO GO! 🏡

Today, we’re taking a trip back to our groundbreaking ceremony! 🎉

What started as a dream for a better future for the animals in our care has grown into a beautiful new shelter, made possible by the generosity, hard work, and dedication of our incredible community♥️

We’ve come a long way since that first shovel hit the ground, and we can’t wait to welcome you into our new home on October 24! 🐶🐱

🐾 10 DAYS TO GO! 🎉

Our countdown to the Grand Opening of Warrick Humane Society’s new shelter continues!

Today, we’re taking a walk down memory lane to a sweet morning when our some members of our Board of Directors and Tails on Trails crew gathered at the building site for coffee, donuts, and a little excitement about the future❤️

Back then, we were dreaming about what this space could become. Now, we’re just 10 days away from welcoming everyone to the home we’ve been building together🏡

The countdown is ON! Who else is getting excited? 🎉🐾

🐾The Countdown is ON 🏡🎉

📸 Today’s trip down memory lane features Board President Amanda and her sister and fellow board member Emily, joined by Holly (who has since been adopted!), as they helped us celebrate the beginning of the 2025 by “breaking ground” while we were still in the process of raising the money needed to start the building/groundwork process 🩵

🚜We’re also looking back at Executive Director Lindsey and Merlin (also happily adopted!) with our very first piece of “groundbreaking equipment.” 🐶

What started as a dream has grown into a beautiful new home for the animals who need us most. And now, we're just 11 DAYS away from welcoming YOU to see what our community has made possible!

The countdown is ON! Our donor match ($10,000) challenge is happening through our Grand Opening. Please join us on Saturday, October 24 from 10:00 am- 5:00pm 🎉🐾

🐾 The Countdown to the Grand Opening is ON! 🎉

On Saturday, October 24, we will finally get to open our doors and welcome our community into the new home of Warrick Humane Society! ♥️ As we count down the days, we want to take a little time to look back at the journey that brought us here.

Today, we’re going all the back to the very beginning- the announcement of our Building Hope campaign!

From the very first announcement to breaking ground, watching the building take shape, celebrating fundraising milestones, and working through unexpected challenges, this has been a journey fueled by love for the animals and a community that believes in our mission🐶🩵🐱

Over the next several days, we will revisit some of those moments captured along the way. We cannot wait to share those memories with you and most importantly, we cannot wait to welcome you into our new home on the 24th (10-5) 🏡🐾

10/10/2026

Please join us for our moving sale today at Warrick Humane Society! We will be here at our current shelter 7:00am-4:00pm (weather permitting)! Cost of all items is a donation to the shelter 🩵

✨Weekend Update for our Donation Match Drive happening now until October 24th where all monetary donations will be matched up to $10,000 by a very generous sponsor!!!
We are at $1,400 that will be matched so far, with 17 days to go. Donations can be made online, dropped off at the Shelter, or at any of our upcoming in-person events just let them know it’s for the Donation Match Drive!
We are so excited for the New Shelter that will allow us to grow our community programs & save more lives with significantly increased kennel space. With that comes increased operations costs, & this donation drive will have a huge impact for us as we enter this new phase as an organization.
Every single donation makes a difference❤️
We can’t wait to see you all October 24th for the Grand Opening!
