Generous Community Donation Will Fund New Police K9.

The Newberg-Dundee Police Department is pleased to announce that it has received a $19,000 donation from Gino and Ona Harrison to fund the purchase and training of a new police canine.
The donation comes following the retirement of K9 Tango in June. Tango served the Newberg-Dundee community and will be missed as an active member of the department's team.

The Harrisons' gift will cover the full cost of acquiring a new canine as well as the specialized training required to certify the dog for police service. The department expects to purchase a new canine in the coming months.

"We are grateful to Gino and Ona Harrison for their generosity and their commitment to public safety in our community," said Chief Jeff Kosmicki of the Newberg-Dundee Police Department. "This donation makes it possible for us to continue providing K9 services to the citizens we serve."

Police canines assist officers with a range of duties and are a valuable resource to the department and the community. The department will share additional information — including the new canine's arrival and name — as the process moves forward. Stay tuned for updates.

Unfortunately, we have to cancel this year's National Night Out event due to extreme heat and wildfire smoke. We look forward to connecting with our community members at future events. Stay cool and hydrated!

Newberg’s Old Fashioned Festival Car Show was a blast! 🚗🇺🇸

The Newberg-Dundee Police Foundation had a great time hosting a booth and connecting with so many amazing people throughout the day. With nearly 400 incredible vehicles and thousands of wonderful Americans, it was an unforgettable event!

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello, support the Foundation, and make this community event so special. We can’t wait to do it again next year!
