New London Energy Committee Our mission is to save energy, save money and reduce carbon emissions in the Town of New London.

Our long-term goal is to achieve 100% renewable electricity by 2030, and 100% renewable heating and transportation systems by 2050.

Come see this all-electric Rivian R1T pickup truck Saturday morning in New London's 100th anniversary Hospital Days Parade! We'll be pulling up the rear of the parade, so be patient, but we'll have plenty of treats to hand out. Parade starts at 10am, see you there!

Thinking of going solar? Although the residential solar tax credits have been abolished, a 30% federal tax credit or Direct Pay rebate is still available for all businesses, nonprofit institutions and municipalities who install solar through the end of 2027. And if you meet certain conditions, you can extend your eligibility all the way into 2030. Contact the Energy Committee for more info.
