From Survival to Stillness: Trauma Release Workshop

Sometimes the body continues to hold onto a stress response long after the stressful moment has passed.

Join Donna Thibodeaux of Cajun Healing Arts for an experiential workshop exploring gentle energetic techniques designed to support grounding, relaxation, and nervous system regulation.

During this workshop, Donna will introduce two techniques:

The Amygdala Connection — a simplified technique Donna learned through a Healing Touch practitioner that uses focus, intention and touch to encourage the body to settle and relax.

Energetic Trauma Technique — a more in-depth energetic practice developed by a Lafayette resident following Hurricane Katrina as a way to support emergency and recovery workers who had been exposed to traumatic experiences during recovery efforts.

Through focused attention, intention and gentle touch, participants will explore practices intended to support the body as it moves away from patterns associated with the fight, flight or freeze response and toward a greater sense of calm and safety.

This is an experiential workshop, giving you an opportunity to receive the techniques, learn more about how they are used, and experience them within the supportive environment of Sacred Bloom.
