Preserve New Fairfield - PNF History isn't just about old stuff -- it is our story! Learn more at www.preservenewfairfield.org

When two historic homes were threatened by the wrecking ball, Preserve New Fairfield was born. This dedicated group of volunteers joined forces with town and state officials to find a new home for these gems. The restoration of these antique assets is ongoing as the Hubbell House and Parsonage proudly evolve and grow in their important roles as the first local history museums in New Fairfield.

🍓 SWEET TREATS & HISTORIC FEATS! 🍓
Mark your calendars for Sunday, June 7th, because the annual Strawberry Festival is just around the corner! This year is an extra special milestone as Preserve New Fairfield celebrates 20 years of preserving our town’s history, alongside the upcoming America 250 celebrations! 🎉
But to keep celebrating, we need to talk about something a little less sweet, and a lot chillier. 🥶
Last winter was incredibly tough on our historic properties. Both of our heating systems gave out:

• The Parsonage: Our 20-year-old furnace suffered a cracked heat exchanger.
• The Hubbell House Museum: The heating system failed shortly thereafter.

These beautiful mid-19th century farm houses aren't just buildings; they showcase and protect our community's priceless cultural heritage. Inside, we store irreplaceable local treasures donated by families just like yours—from antique textiles and paintings to historic documents and farming tools. Without proper climate control, the extreme cold leaves delicate relics like paper and fabric brittle and at risk of permanent damage.

💰 THE GOOD NEWS & OUR GOAL 💰 We need to raise between $19,000 and $20,000 to replace both units before prices go up and winter is upon us. The amazing news? We have a generous benefactor who has stepped up to MATCH all donations! That means every single dollar you give goes twice as far to protect New Fairfield's history.

How you can help:

1. Donate Today: Help us kick off our fundraising efforts strong and double your impact with our matching donations!

2. Come to the Strawberry Festival: Join us on June 7th, 12:30-3:00 pm for delicious treats, vendors, raffles, and great music celebrating our 20th anniversary! Learn more about our upcoming summer book release, orb hunts, open houses, and support the preservation of the historic homes that make our town so unique.

Let’s keep our history safe, secure, and thriving for generations to come! See you at the festival! 🍰✨
