We’re a New Fairfield nonprofit organization that provides free rides to NF residents who cannot drive themselves to their medical appointments both in town and in surrounding towns.

FISH of New Fairfield provides free transportation to medical appointments for New Fairfield residents who cannot drive themselves. We have an incredible team of volunteer drivers and schedulers who give their time every week.

In addition to volunteer support, we rely on funding to cover essential costs such as insurance, operations, and outreach. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all our donors and especially to the local organizations whose generosity helps keep FISH running strong, including our top supporters:

Join us for the FISH of New Fairfield’s Annual Fun Run/Walk on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at New Fairfield High School Rebel Stadium Track, 54 Gillotti Road, New Fairfield, CT.

Choose from three 1-mile runs starting at 9:30 AM, 10:00 AM, and 10:30 AM — run or walk at your own pace!

In celebration of America’s 250th birthday, come dressed in your best red, white, and blue (or any patriotic gear).

At FISH of New Fairfield, you may know about our amazing volunteer drivers—but did you know we also have dedicated volunteer schedulers? These incredible individuals handle ride requests and coordinate with both our drivers and clients to make everything run smoothly. They are truly the heartbeat of FISH.

Today, we’re proud to spotlight one of our outstanding schedulers: Iowa Cipollone. Iowa has called New Fairfield home for nearly 23 years. She and her husband, Dom, have three children. Dom serves on the school board, and Iowa actively volunteers with local schools as well.

For Iowa, giving back is deeply personal. When their second child was diagnosed with a lifelong condition, the community rallied around their family. Volunteering is her way of showing gratitude to a town that exemplifies what NF is all about—community, support, and lifting each other up. It’s something she will always cherish.

About her work as a FISH scheduler, Iowa shares:
“Tuesday has become my favorite day because it is my day to schedule. I get to talk to folks who have so much wisdom, strength and perseverance. They always show their appreciation for the help they receive. Yet they don’t even realize what they give back to me…a smile through the phone, a little extra wisdom from their experiences and just the love they ooze. FISH of New Fairfield is the best organization to volunteer with…you get back more than you give.”
