Where a hoof can heal a heart! Visits are by no-cost Appointments with Purpose. All-Volunteer 501(c)(3) Non-Profit

Please understand that Davy's TherAppy Farm is NOT a petting zoo and a reservation is needed before visiting the property. We provide a quiet relaxing environment for individuals of any age and all walks of life to benefit from "Appointments with Purpose" to interact with our animal therapists. Current residents consist of boer goats, Nigerian Dwarf/Pygmy goats, miniature horses, Chincoteague Ponies, potbelly pigs, a steer, bull calf, guinea pigs and our dog, Maggie Mae, the Keeper of the Farm. The primary goal is to give visitors a safe space to promote the rejuvenation of their overall well-being with improvements to mental, emotional, behavioral and physical health. There is no diagnosis requirement and we do not charge an entrance fee, although donations are always GREATLY appreciated! The farm is open year-round, run 100% by volunteers and donations, is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization and a proud member of the Chincoteague Chamber of Commerce. We had a really fun cruise on Saturday morning despite what looked like would be a dreary day. The rain stopped just before we left the harbor and the sun even made an appearance! 🌞🤗 We saw a bunch of dolphins almost immediately and then got to see Beach Boy and his girls hangin' out by the lighthouse! 🐴❤️ Everyone aboard won a raffle prize or two and we had lots of goodies... homemade blueberry and cinnamon muffins, donuts, granola and breakfast bars, juice, coffee, tea, hot cocoa, AMAZING wassail, and of course SUPER YUMMY homemade birthday cake! 😋 We missed the friends that couldn't make it but everyone that did beautifully sang happy birthday to our 7-year-old Davy Davy!! 🎉.🎂🐴

🥳 Celebrating this guy's 7th year alive on this cool, very windy and rainy fall day. Today, we are thankful to be inland and on higher ground. Our location (marked by the pin) is not affected by tidal flooding and when fresh water flooding occurs, we only have to deal with some standing water and mud on the farm. It's raining and very windy here but so grateful that we landed where we did. Unfortunately, our friends in Chincoteague, Crisfield, Ocean City and MANY other coastal towns up and down the Eastern Seaboard aren't faring as well so please keep them in your thoughts! 🙏💖
