Gene Sewell, director of the Raintree Habitat for Humanity, was the NC-HC Kiwanis Club’s guest speaker today at our noon meeting at Mancino’s. He shared this is Habitat’s 35th year in Henry Co. and has built 37 homes mostly locally with one in Rushville. Kiwanis will serve grilled foods at the July 17 & Sept. 18 summer concert series at the Arts Park. Kiwanis meets 2nd & 4th Thur. at noon.

A Great evening at NCHS’s senior recognitions program in Bundy Thurs. May 28th! The NC-HC Kiwanis Club’s scholarships went to Sidney Miller (red hair in the black dress) plus Elysah Williams shown with Jason Williams. Kiwanis also sponsors the school’s two citizenship awards that went to Elijah Blankenship & Chloe Nichols.

The NC-HC Kiwanis Club awarded $1,000 senior scholarships Wed. May 20 to Blue River’s Sydney Crisp & Shenandoah’s Kaylen Lynch. Kaylen was presented by Kiwanian, Kenon Gray. Both young ladies also received awards from the HC Retired Teachers Assoc. on May 19 for their volunteerism! Sydney is in light blue and Kaylen on the far right in group pic.

A GREAT turnout at Sat.’s NC-HC Kiwanis Club’s spring pancake breakfast at First U.M.C. in New Castle! Hundreds of diners had ALL you can eat pancakes, sausages & drinks to help put 500 new pairs of shoes on worthy county children annually! Thanks to the church for the use of their wonderful facility. Thanks to the thirteen Kiwanians and five Secret Families of HC volunteers who cooked, ran, cleaned & served the 100’s who ate! Great to see Greg Ayers from the Noblesville Kiwanis Club visit. Over a dozen local candidates on Tuesday’s ballot greeted folks. Make sure to vote this May 5th! ❤️ P.S. We also had over 40 takeout meals prepped.
