Is anyone interested and available in helping provide lawn mowing and trimming for this cemetery in 2027? It might need 3-5 mowings per season (mid-May - Sep 1, weather dependent.) You need to supply the mower and trimmer.

On this date in 1922, the brief obit published for Jemima (Mina/Jemina) Jane Pence, widow of Joseph Pence. She was the daughter of William and Nancy Taylor Book. The Pence family donated the land for this cemetery.

Going through genealogy files and was reminded that Joseph and Sarah Pence donated the land for the Oak Grove Disciples of Christ church and cemetery. The church building is long gone but the cemetery remains. Sarah Hogue Pence's death cert (1907) indicates her burial here. Her listed occupation? "Old Lady"!

Published on this date in 1987, the announcement and obit for Richard Lee Boak (1969-1987), son of James Richard Boak and Amelia Lynn (Miron). He is buried in at Oak Grove, Oak Grove Christian Church Cemetery Association, along with James Dale McCormick (1968-2003), son of Dale L McCormick and Harriett (Hattie) Ann nee Boak. Also in this plot are James Robert Boak (1916-1979) and his spouse Lois nee Smith (1922-2010).

Published on this date in 1898. Death notice for James Hunt, father of Mary Rebecca who married George Riley Dean. Also father to James Manning Hunt, buried at Oak Grove, Oak Grove Christian Church Cemetery Association. The HUNT plot includes Carrie Venetta Hunt, Adeline Hunt, and along with James Manning, his spouse Hannah Caroline nee Moore.
