🔥 Two-Day Softball Camp Recap 🔥

What an incredible two days for our Lady Barons Softball Camp! Nearly 30 athletes showed up ready to learn, compete, and grow — and they absolutely delivered. 💪🥎

Our Division I softball players from Akron, Canisius, Saint Francis, and Pitt brought the energy, the knowledge, and the passion. Their leadership set the tone, and our girls matched it every step of the way. ⚡

From battling venue changes on Day 1 because of the weather to pushing through the heat on the turf for Day 2, these girls never backed down. They worked, they learned, they competed — and they only got stronger as the camp went on. Thank you Sports Zone Academy & New Castle Area School District! 🌞🔥

A huge thank‑you to our Lady Barons staff for keeping everything running smoothly and bringing the same high energy our players did. And of course, thank you to all the parents for trusting us, supporting us, and helping make this camp such a success. 🙌❤️

What a Day 1. Nearly 30 young athletes showed up ready to work, and our Division I coaches brought the fire — high energy, high standards, and high belief in every girl out there.

Watching these players grow in confidence, skill, and passion is exactly why we do this. Day 2 is coming, and we’re stepping back on the field with even more momentum.

Ben Yeckel Drives 4 Runners Home In The 3B Barons 18U Class B Ross Victory Over 2026 Astro Falcons 18U

Ben Yeckel drove in four runs on three hits to lead The 3B Barons 18U Class B Ross past 2026 Astro Falcons 18U 13-1 on Friday at Cene #1. Yeckel hit a home run to right field in the third inning, scoring three runs, and singled in the fourth inning, scoring one.

2026 Astro Falcons 18U opened the scoring in the first after Matt Boam doubled, scoring one run.

The 3B Barons 18U Class B Ross made the score 3-1 in the bottom of the first after Ben Kraemer singled, scoring one run, and Dominic Miller doubled, scoring two runs.

The 3B Barons 18U Class B Ross scored six runs on six hits in the bottom of the third inning. Yeckel homered to right field, scoring three runs, an error scored one run, Trey Ross tripled, scoring one run, and Christian Anterock singled, scoring one run.

Four more The 3B Barons 18U Class B Ross runs crossed the plate in the fourth inning to extend the lead to 13-1. Yeckel singled, scoring one run, and Derick Friedman homered to left field, scoring three runs.

Denny Joseph started on the hill for The 3B Barons 18U Class B Ross. The hurler surrendered six hits and one run over four innings, striking out four and walking one. Boam started on the mound for 2026 Astro Falcons 18U. The starting pitcher allowed eight hits and eight runs over two and two-thirds innings, striking out two and walking one.

The 3B Barons 18U Class B Ross collected 13 hits in the game. Yeckel and Vinny Pezzuolo were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected three hits for The 3B Barons 18U Class B Ross. Kraemer collected two hits for The 3B Barons 18U Class B Ross in two at bats.

Boam went 1-for-2 at the plate and led the team with one run batted in. Leadoff hitter AJ Economous led 2026 Astro Falcons 18U with two hits in two at bats.
