This week, we want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the School Resource Officers, Deputy Dillon & Deputy Loney, who dedicate their time, energy, and care to keeping the students and staff at Tecumseh High School safe each and every day.

Your presence brings reassurance, guidance, and protection to our schools, and your impact reaches far beyond the hallways. You build relationships, encourage students, and help create an environment where learning and growth can thrive.

As another school year comes to a close, we thank you for your service, your commitment to our community, and the countless ways you show up for our youth. Your work embodies the spirit of service above self, and we are grateful for all you do.

This month, we are proud to highlight Justin Fletcher from Park National Bank, who currently serves as President of New Carlisle Rotary.

Justin’s leadership and commitment to service help guide our club, but his impact extends even further. He is also the driving force behind our annual NCR Golf Outing, an event that plays a major role in helping New Carlisle Rotary raise funds for student scholarships and invest in the future of local students.

Because of support through events like the golf outing, New Carlisle Rotary has been able to award scholarships that help students pursue college and career pathways while continuing Rotary’s mission of service and community impact.

At yesterday’s New Carlisle Rotary meeting, members had the opportunity to hear from Ms. Amanda Heitt and Ms. Kristi Ryles of Tecumseh High School as they shared about the Arrow Closet, an incredible program they started several years ago to help students access prom and homecoming attire.

The Arrow Closet provides dresses, suits, and formalwear for students who may otherwise miss out on these memorable experiences because of financial barriers. Their efforts help ensure more students have the opportunity to attend these important school events and create lasting memories alongside their peers.

Following their presentation, New Carlisle Rotary was honored to present Ms. Heitt and Ms. Ryles with a $500 donation to help support the continued impact of the Arrow Closet.

Thank you to these educators for seeing a need, creating a solution, and helping students feel included, supported, and celebrated. 💙

Scott Griffith joined New Carlisle Rotary in 2011 and will celebrate 15 years with Rotary this October. Over the years, Scott has worn many hats, serving on the board beginning around 2013 and stepping into leadership roles as President-Elect in 2014 and Rotary President in 2015.

One of Scott’s biggest passions has been service beyond our local community. During his leadership journey, he organized a collaboration of Rotary clubs, secured matching funds, and helped make three wells in Africa possible - bringing clean water to different areas in Africa. That effort helped begin a partnership that continues today, with New Carlisle Rotary helping fund more than two dozen wells over the years.

Scott has also played an important role closer to home through fundraising efforts that strengthen our community. He helped launch the Push Up Challenge supporting Pink Ribbon Girls and has been a driving force behind Stronger Together, an event that continues to make a meaningful impact.

Rotary is built by people willing to lead, serve, and help create positive change. Scott’s years of dedication reflect exactly what service above self looks like in action.
