CASA of Central Texas provides high quality, best interest advocacy for children in the child welfare system in Caldwell, Comal, Guadalupe & Hays.

We train and empower dedicated CASA volunteers to ensure children’s needs are met and their voices lifted. CASA is always looking for volunteers to be matched up with children who are currently in the State foster system because they were removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect. Volunteers are appointed by the judge overseeing the case to advocate for the best interest of the children and are often the most consistent person in the child's life. CASA's role is to recruit potential volunteer, properly screen and and provide training, and support volunteers as they serve on their case. Free training sessions are held throughout the year. More CASA volunteers are needed, we are currently serving about half of the children in State care.

Domestic violence is experienced by many families that enter the child welfare system. That's why CASA volunteers learn about it in their training: the types of abuse, its causes, the legal system's response, and the barriers survivors face in leaving. ❤️‍🩹 That knowledge helps them support the children they serve.

It was wonderful to celebrate our CASA Volunteers in Guadalupe County at Seguin Power Plant! A casual gathering with serious gratitude - catching up with long-time volunteers and learning more about new ones. We talked about our pets and kids, musicals, and pickleball. Thanks for the great conversations and laughs!

CASA volunteers show up! 👏 Volunteers believe in children, fight for them, and are consistent advocates when everyone and everything changes around them.

With their consistent presence, CASA volunteers could be the one true sense of normalcy that children experience as they miss their family, friends, and home.
