To be an interdenominational, Christian resource for the Newton County area, that specializes in ministering to both the physical and spiritual needs of its residents. Our goal is to service ANY
ONE who feels that a meal would be an asset to them or their family, regardless of age, social, economic, or physical status. We are seeking volunteer teams and individuals who are willing to supply the food and labor for at least one meal per month. Teams may also serve quarterly, every other month, etc. Teams/individuals will cook, serve, and clean-up the meal while being encouraged, but not required to form relationships and minister to those being fed. The heart behind Hope Kitchen is to meet the very simple and practical reality of hunger while using food as an avenue to build relationships and share the LOVE of Jesus Christ to all we encounter. Hope Kitchen is a 2400 sq. commercial kitchen/dining space located off the SE corner of the historic downtown Neosho square. The facility includes a Health Department inspected commercial kitchen area ready for use by volunteers, dining area with seating for 75+, a paid Director, Assistant to the Director, and Guest Coordinator to manage & coordinate volunteer teams as well as schedules and also facilitate guest classes.
