Rotarian of the Day: Grant Schwartz

We were honored to have Grant Schwartz, President of K&S Wire, as our Rotarian of the Day!

Grant shared a powerful message centered around four simple but meaningful principles: showing up, keeping your word, investing in people, and serving others.

These are values that make a difference—not only in business and leadership, but in our families, our community, and the lives of those around us.

Thank you, Grant, for reminding us that true leadership is often found in the simple commitment to be present, do what you say you’ll do, pour into others, and serve. ❤️

We’re grateful to have leaders like Grant investing in our community and making a difference!

Rotarian of the Day — Jim Davis! 💛🖤

We’re grateful for Jim Davis, our Rotarian of the Day, who brought a fantastic group of Neosho’s fall athletics coaches to share with our club!

It was a great opportunity to hear from the coaches, learn more about their teams and programs, and celebrate the hard work they pour into our students both on and off the field. These coaches play such an important role in building character, teamwork, discipline, and confidence in our Wildcats.

A big thank you to Jim for arranging today’s program and to all of our coaches for taking the time to join us and share what’s happening with Neosho fall athletics!

We’re proud to support our students, our coaches, and Neosho Wildcats! 💛🖤

Proud to be a Wildcat!!!

Rotarian of the Day: Steve Kenny!

Today, we’re grateful to have Steve Kenny as our Rotarian of the Day, bringing attention to an important part of our community—the Neosho Recycling Center!

We were honored to hear from Diane Howell, Lead Recycling Attendant for the City of Neosho, who shared about the work being done to keep our community cleaner, greener, and more sustainable.

Thank you, Diane, for sharing your knowledge and for the important work you do for Neosho! And thank you, Steve, for helping connect our Rotary Club with the people and organizations making a difference in our community.

Rotary is all about Service Above Self—and today was a great reminder of what that looks like right here in Neosho!

Today’s Rotarian of the Day, Dr. Kent Farnsworth, brought us a wonderful program highlighting the Joplin Interfaith Coalition and its mission of building understanding, fellowship, and service among people of different faith traditions throughout Joplin and the surrounding area.

We learned that the coalition’s roots go back to the aftermath of the 2011 Joplin tornado, when members of different religious communities came together for an interfaith service. Those relationships continued to grow through additional gatherings and acts of support—including faith communities coming together following the 2012 arson attack on the Joplin mosque.

Today, the Joplin Interfaith Coalition continues working to create opportunities for people to learn about one another’s beliefs and traditions while joining together in community service projects.

Thank you to Dr. Kent Farnsworth for arranging today’s program and to our presenter for sharing the history and mission of this organization with the Neosho Rotary Club.

Different backgrounds, shared community, and a commitment to serving others—that’s a message that fits perfectly with Rotary’s Service Above Self. 💙💛
