Because of your support I was able to visit Independence, Coffeyville, and Parsons. I got off on my numbers at Coffeyville. I wasn't as prepared as I should have been. So I passed out more there than I have calculated.

I made 36 Deliveries and collectively we helped over 50 people this month. 5,838 items have been passed out since January 1st!

Before I invite people to a sewing party, I figured I better have my s**t together. I have never made these bags in my life! 😂 I haven’t ever done a project with zippers. I also went ahead and made my own bag labels. Can you see the trend now? I’m just going to figure it out.

My first and second tween period pouches. For a novice sewer, I’m pretty proud of myself. 😊 There are a few tweaks I need to do first before we gather, so it’s easier for everyone to know how to make them.

Today kicks off Black Breastfeeding Week, and the Kansas Birth Equity Network wants to raise awareness of the breastfeeding inequities Black birthing people face.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, only 79% of Black infants are breastfed, compared with the national average of 86%.

Join us this week as we share events, resources, and partners in recognition of Black Breastfeeding Week 2026.
