Classroom visit to say “thanks for making a difference!” Trim Hunger founder Josif Wittnik met with students at Franklin Elementary School in Appleton to tell them just how much he was moved by the signs they’ve been making for our first Shared Shelf. Every time someone opens the doors to the little free pantry outside the school, they are greeted with these signs of hope and care and understanding. Way to go students! 👏 And have a great summer! ☀️

Everywhere you look, the price of gas is high. And rising. At Trim Hunger, we realize this may mean more families are faced with making tough choices.

Every extra dollar spent at the pump means less money for groceries, school lunches, and healthy meals at home.

We see how economic pressures impact food security in our communities every day. No family should have to wonder where their next meal will come from because the cost of simply getting to work keeps climbing.
