Neapolis Volunteer Fire Association

10/02/2026

Please keep Grand Rapids Township Fire & Rescue in your thoughts and prayers. Kippy volunteered his time the last two years to come over and help the association with our chicken bbq. He will be deeply missed.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of firefighter Jim (Kippy) Kepling, who passed away yesterday morning.

Kippy was so much more than a firefighter to our department. He was our station cook, our go to guy in the kitchen, and someone who was always willing to lend a hand. From Chicken BBQ to Apple Butter and everything in between, Kippy played a huge part in making these events special.

Kippy thank you for everything you gave to our department and our community. Your service and countless meals will never be forgotten.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Kippy’s family and friends during this difficult time.
