Our History
In 1963, family members of individuals with disabilities came together to build a safe, accessible summer camp for their children. Since then, Courageous Community Services has continued to ensure that children, teenagers, and adults with disabilities have the opportunity to attend summer camp and experience that overwhelming feeling of community. Over the years, Courageous Community S

ervices has increased our program offerings and upgraded our facilities to continue to provide high-quality support to people with disabilities and their families in Northwest Ohio.

Camp is about so much more than a summer getaway. It’s a place where people can build friendships, try new things, experience independence, create lasting memories, and simply be themselves in a safe and welcoming environment.

THANK YOU to everyone who brought their doggy to our annual Dipping Dogs event and to all of our wonderful sponsors who made the event happen!
We hope that everyone learned more about what we do at Courageous Acres inclusive summer camp. We saw some pups in the water that sure had a good time!
