Our Living Library is an interactive experience designed to bring members of the community together to share their knowledge through short informational interviews!

The people—not books—are “checked out.” Readers can reserve short timeslots with Living Books, that will share their expertise in the welcoming environment of the library.

Please select a ticket at checkout for the timeslot available for the Living Book you wish to “Read”. Choose from a Beekeeper, Doctor, Animal Rescuer, Police officer, Musician/Small Business Owner, Military Mom and/or a Library Director!

Ages 12+, Max 2 People per ticket, Ages 12-17 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Registrants will receive a free event t-shirt (sizing based on availability)

Meet local author Elle Backenstoe, who has published both Adult and Young Adult romantasy (that’s romantic fantasy) novels!

She will discuss her Welsh mythology-inspired novel “A Vow of Shadows” and its upcoming sequel- the story follows a woman marked by Death who makes a fateful deal with a reaper.

She will also discuss her writing process, and how to self-publish your own books! You can find all of Elle’s books in the library! Registration is recommended.
