Lifting the Conversation Across Louisiana
On World Mental Health Day, we are reminded that mental health is health and that every Louisianan deserves the opportunity to access support, care, and a community that listens.
Here in Louisiana, the conversation must extend beyond awareness. We must continue working toward accessible behavioral health services, stronger community support systems, early intervention, and an end to the stigma that can keep people from asking for help. Louisiana has resources available through its behavioral health system, but connecting people to care remains an important part of the work. Louisiana Department of Health
This year's World Mental Health Day theme, “Lived experiences heard: real voices, real change,” reminds us that people with lived experience belong at the center of the mental health conversation. World Health Organization
So today, Louisiana, let's check on one another. Listen without judgment. Speak openly. Encourage someone to seek help. And remember that asking for support is not weakness. It is strength.
💙 Break the silence. Share your story. Be part of the change.

Mental Health is not a sign of weakness, but a testament to our strength and resilience. World Mental Health Day is our way of recognizing and understanding that caring for our mental health and emotional well-being is just as crucial as our physical health.
Today, be intentional about checking on your loved ones - including your friends.
There’s not a certain ‘look’ - Just be kind. Encourage open conversations. Lend a listening ear, offer a hug or give someone a word of support, as they may be struggling in silence.
If that someone is you - remember that you are never alone on this journey.
💚Sorors, how will you prioritize your mental wellness this month? We encourage you to share with us below.

Mental Health Awareness Week: Break the Silence. Share Your Story.
Sometimes, the bravest thing we can do is speak honestly about what we’re experiencing. Sharing your story can help break down stigma, open the door to meaningful conversations, and remind someone else that they are not alone.
Your story does not have to be perfect. You do not have to have all the answers. Your voice matters, your experience matters, and asking for help is a sign of strength.
This week, let’s create spaces where people feel safe to speak, supported when they listen, and empowered to seek help when they need it.
💙 Break the silence. Share your story. Listen without judgment. Support one another. Healing happens together.

🧡 Bullying Prevention Month 🧡
This month, we stand together to promote kindness, respect, inclusion, and courage. Bullying can leave lasting scars, but each of us has the power to create a culture where everyone feels safe, valued, and heard.
Be the person who speaks up, reaches out, includes others, and chooses kindness. Sometimes a simple act of compassion can make a world of difference.
Let’s build communities where kindness is stronger than cruelty and everyone has a place to belong. 🧡💙
Be a friend. Be a supporter. Be a voice. Be the change.
