This year’s LTMF raised over $5,300 for research and treatment of Small-Cell Lung Cancer (SCLC). Money raised goes to the ‘Be a Piece of the Solution’ fund at Mass General Brigham in Boston. Thank you to everyone who participated - and a special thanks to Messier Custom Woodworking, KMooso Photography, and Hair Design by Amanda Atwood for their donations of raffle prizes!

Larry participated in a study where he received Palliative Care throughout his entire treatment, starting right after diagnosis. His palliative nurse was Jennifer, and he eventually started referring to her as “my therapist”. I believe that having Jennifer to talk to, right from the start, made a huge difference, and I will always be grateful.

Each new discovery is another step towards a cure.

For years, one drug (topotecan) has been the default when small cell lung cancer returns — despite modest results.

At WCLC 2026, two new drugs each showed people lived longer than they did on topotecan alone. Two more studies from the meeting brought strong early results for people with ROS1-positive and EGFR-mutant lung cancer, too.
