We are very happy to share some great adoption news! Not one or two, but three adorable pairs found their furever homes this month.
Pepper and Potato and Elphaba and Glinda were adopted by their foster families. Each family came to our storefront to learn about rabbits first, and decided to foster to make sure rabbits were indeed the right companion animals for them.
Boots and Cinder's new mom had been chatting with us for a couple months. She is an experienced rabbit person, and was just waiting for the right pair. Cinder had been neutered recently and we decided to bond him with his mom Boots.
Congratulations to six adorable bunnies and their lucky new families!

Chanel was picked up on the side of the road in Bakersfield by a family from Napa who then reached out to us for help. He was just a little baby and is still only 4 months old. When our vet did the pre-op exam for his neuter, she found an issue with his heart. X-rays confirmed that he has an enlarged heart. We made the decision to move forward with his neuter and he did great! Chanel is now on twice a day Pimobendan for his heart condition and we hope it will buy him some time. His prognosis is not good and according to our vet he may only have 6 months to 2 years.
We are looking for a quiet home with an older bunny friend or two for Chanel for however long he may have. He is absolutely adorable, social, curious, playful and tidy. Chanel is part of our special needs program and we will cover his heart medication and veterinary care for life.

Many thanks to everyone who came out on a Tuesday night to support Napa Bunnies at The Fink. It was such a fun night and we were able to raiser $945 for the bunnies!
Special thanks to Miss Napa County Milan Alas for being our game caller, our friend Angela for selling lots of game cards, and Moose for making a special appearance.

Note: We have been vocal about rabbits being treated as accessories, dressed up and hauled everywhere...so I want to make clear that we don't want to encourage people to take their bunnies to bars, restaurants, etc. Our very social 17lbs boy Moose was being monitored the entire time, had a dedicated quiet space and was never forced to interact with anyone. We were also a short 5 minute drive from home and were ready to take him home anytime.

Thank you to the Petfinder Foundation for awarding us the 2026 Emergency Medical Grant. This grant helped us cover the cost of our sweet boy Oddy's enucleation surgery.
Oddy was diagnosed with cataracts and severe glaucoma in both eyes and a persistent corneal ulcer in one eye. Glaucoma and corneal ulcers are painful and serious conditions. Since Oddy was already nearly fully blind in both eyes, our eye specialist recommended the removal of both eyes to offer pain relief and eliminate future complications.
Oddy's surgery went well and he recovered in no time despite being an 8.5 year old senior rabbit! He is now living it up in his foster home with his sister Nibbles.
Oddy is available for adoption together with his sister. They are both healthy and do not require any special care, but would do best in a quiet home with no small children.

We received a call yesterday about someone interested in a pair of bunnies. She left a voicemail and I finally got around to call her back this afternoon.
She has two kids 7 and 10 and one of them is allergic to dogs so she thought rabbits would be a good alternative.
Since she had left the voicemail, she went online to do some research and found out that rabbits are prey animals, generally don't like to be held, are not easy pets and require expensive specialized veterinary care. I confirmed all that is correct, but also said they can make wonderful companion animals. She said her kids are wild, thanked me for following up with a phone call and that rabbits are not the right fit for her family.

I have to say that I hung up the phone with a smile knowing this family made the right call thanks to a mom who is an adult and listens to the experts instead of her kids. Will they be disappointed? Probably! But is admitting rabbits are not the right fit for them the right call? 100% yes!

I wish more people would act like adults instead of being offended or upset when we provide them with information or deny their adoption application.

We have partnered with Bubbling Wells Pet Cremation to provide aftercare services for your beloved bunnies.
The cost for a private cremation is $150 and includes a standard cedar or carved wooden urn.
