Our NAC Kids Theatre camp has been under way, and we are beyond excited for these campers’ hard work to pay off with their performances this weekend!

Location: Zion Hill Church, 324 N. Lanana St.

📸 PHOTOGRAPHY CAMP
Hello all! Im offering photography camp for ages 6-16years old
•2 day camp
•Date: June 29-30th && July 8-9th
•Time: 9a-12p

•Cost: for 2day camp is $65 bring a friend and they pay $35
**please note: dates only go forth as long as 5kids or more sign up per camp date**

📸 Photography camp will teach kids the basic technical aspects first, which will lead them to becoming more creative, comfortable with their camera and what they can truly do. Then theyll learn more by doing hands on activities like scavenger hunts and memory games, they will beable to have the opportunity not only to be creative with nature but with their own peers.

🤩Activities include: scavenger hunt, learning the basics of photography,(how to find the best lighting, frame your subjects, negative space, etc.) the last hour of the day I will have something fun and creative for them to shoot. We will experiment with POWDER PAINT or face paint, which is usually their favorite part. This will give a more vibrant fun aspect to the photos.

📍Location will either be at pecan park or the SFA trails. Will update on that soon.

🫅🏽👸🏽Parents will be asked to drop off or wait in their car while camp is going on. Only reason of asking this is because children seem to do better without their parents hoovering around and are more likely to pay attention and have fun.
IF this is an issue please get with me and we can figure out a solution for your needs.

📸What you will need to have your kiddo bring:
*A camera. Doesnt have to be a fancy DSLR camera, it can be a point and shoot. They will need to know how to operate it in some aspects.
*A SD card thats atleast 64G that goes into the camera. (they will take alot of photos and I dont want them to run out of space) You can purchase one of these at walgreens, cvs etc. if youre not sure on which card to buy please contact me.
*Make sure the camera is fully charged and ready.
*Comforable clothing and shoes that if they get dirty it will be ok. We play around in the creek often and most of the time they get wet and nasty.
*Good attitudes and willingness to learn and listen.

Alongside Blueberry festival, NAC has our very own line-up of events happening this Saturday!

From 9am-1pm, our Arts Market will take place at 320 N St, full of vendors from all across East Texas—worried about parking? We’ve got you covered! We have reserved spots for vendors and market goers, so you don’t have to worry about the stress of finding a park. 🙂‍↕️

Then from 3pm-5pm, take some time out of the heat for the closing of Monkey Brain: No Rhyme Nor Reason. This will be the last chance to see this amazing exhibition at Falling Star Gallery!

Only TWO more times to catch Carol Eaton Walsh's colorful paintings "Monkey Brain: No Rhyme Nor Reason" at our gallery. Today you can go by and say hello to the delightful Marilyn Conn. Next Saturday, Blueberry Festival, we will have an arts market in the parking lot 10-2, and a closing reception for Carol's show 3-5. Stop by after the festival and enjoy the a/c and a glass of wine.
