TL Steed Memorial Constitution Competition & Exhibition:
What the Constitution Means to Me

The Nacogdoches Arts Collaborative’s Falling Star Gallery is proud to announce an art competition and exhibition in honor of the 250th Birthday of the USA.

The idea came from the big brain of Terry (TL) Steed, who could quote the Constitution and tell you all about each amendment, including when it was ratified. When asked by his sister how to “do more than vote”, he said, “Well, you DO have an art gallery and America’s birthday is September 2026.”

An idea was born. Then in October 2025, TL passed after a brief illness. So the contest has become the TL Steed Memorial Constitution Competition & Exhibition: What the Constitution Means to Me. Before he exited, he donated the seed money for the prizes and suggested one of the jurors. First and foremost, TL would want you to read the Constitution and pick what moves you.

The NAC Arts Market is happening on June 13th from 10am–2pm, and we’re looking for talented vendors in all types of creative mediums to join us!

This event celebrates local and regional creativity through art, handmade goods, and live performances. We'd love to showcase your work.

Each vendor will be assigned a 10x10 space and should bring their own tent (if desired), tables, chairs, displays, and signage. All artwork on display must be available for purchase and must be family friendly.

Our summer kids camps are back!

We’re excited to hold our NAC Kids Camps filled with opportunities for young artists and performers to have fun all summer long.

In June, our Kids Theatre Camp gives students the chance to step on stage (or behind the scenes!) and work toward a final performance on June 27th.

Then in July, our Kids Art Camp offers hands-on creative sessions for a wide range of ages with an exhibition of their work on July 18th.
