The Jordan Rader Foundation

The Jordan Rader Foundation Supporting families who face the tragic burden of burying their child. We offer a relaxing and healing stay at Labrador Lakehouse Inn & Wedding Venue.

The Jordan Rader Foundation was started in Arizona in 2003 after I realized my situation with burying my son Jordan was not at all a unique experience. There is a need for support for families who are grieving the death of a child. We met with the families and raised money for funeral expenses. Remember, this was before GoFund Me and Facebook. We traveled to South Africa to work at an orphanage, a

nd "coincidentally" helped a family in Rhondebosch who had to bury a child while we were there. We ended up helping 13 families in the Valley in the few years I was able to run it. Fast forward to 2024. I own Labrador Lakehouse Inn & Wedding Venue. Honestly, my blessings have been overwhelming and humbling. My vision is to continue to help families who have lost a child. Our mission now is to provide beautiful lodging, wellness services, nurturing food, and a peaceful environment for grieving families who really need it. I hope my experiences and Jordan's story can help families navigate this painful process.

Time moves forward with or without you. 22 years for me. I wouldn’t say time has healed me. It has changed me. It still cuts, but not as deep. The hidden blessing is that I’ve honed a skill. I can anticipate pain, almost predict it and gracefully adapt to it. That’s not because of time. That’s because my pain morphed into something else that most people don’t know about. I wish there was one word to describe it. We survivors need to create one. For me it is a feeling of tolerance, numbness, loss, sadness, love, heartbreak and acceptance all rolled into one. It’s now also void of bitterness, hate and hopelessness. There is so much to be grateful for and beautiful memories to keep. That may seem confusing for some, but it can be reality for parents who have buried their child. For those of us who can move forward ❤️ I celebrate with you because time doesn’t heal…YOU do!
