Friday, May 22, 6-7 pm: flag distribution for the veterans’ graves at Mt Lebanon Cemetery with various Mt Lebanon Scout units. Wear your scout uniform (or pack t-shirt) and meet at the cemetery main entrance. We will proceed rain or shine unless there is lightning. Optional “Thank You Party” (pop & pizza) at 7 pm with the veterans at the VFW in Dormont on Washington Road (3014 W. Liberty Ave).

Memorial Day, May 25 - annual South Hills parade. Line-up begins at 9:30 am followed by the start of the parade at 10 am. Meet at the Brookline war memorial cannon (1019 Brookline Blvd) OR join-in at St. Pius church on Pioneer Blvd. OR near the Dunkin Donuts on Washington Road. The full route is a little more then 2 miles long. Parents and siblings are welcome and encouraged to walk with their Scouts. We will have our pack flags and banner to carry, too. The parade ends at approximately 11:15-11:30 at the Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. Stick around at the end if you would like to watch / participate in a brief ceremony featuring a Scout playing taps on the trumpet, a bagpipe player playing Amazing Grace and a three-shot volley from some retired veterans.
