🎉 We’re celebrating in Omsk! 🎉

The new Mission Possible Mother and Children’s Home is officially OPEN! ❤️

After so much planning, work and prayer, it is SO exciting to finally see this home finished and ready to welcome mothers and their children.

Bert and a friend take us on a little tour so you can see inside and celebrate with us!

There is so much more I want to share with you about this home, why it’s needed and the ministry that will happen here. You’ll be seeing much more from Omsk in our upcoming newsletters and blogs.

But for today — celebrate with us! 🎉 And please pray for the mothers and children who will walk through these doors. Pray that this will be a place of safety, hope, new beginnings and, most importantly, a place where they experience the love of Christ. ❤️🙏

Another update from Bert’s travels in Russia! 🇷🇺

I love this one because it shows a side of Mission Possible that you may not always get to see.

Local leaders are training other MP leaders to write grant proposals and seek funding for projects within their own communities. We believe strongly in education and not only helping fund ministry, but equipping our teams with the tools they need to strengthen and sustain ministry locally.

Ephesians 4:12 — “to equip his people for works of service” — is at the heart of Mission Possible. We want to come alongside our teams, give them the tools they need and see strong local ministry continue to grow.

And to our friends and donors here in the USA—you are part of this bigger picture! Your partnership helps make this kind of training and investment in our leaders possible. Thank you for continuing to invest with us in people, not just projects. ❤️

Bert’s next stop on his journey through Russia takes us to Kurgan, where something exciting is taking shape!

A new home for mothers and children is under construction and expected to open next year.

In this region, poverty, unstable homes and other difficult circumstances can leave mothers with very few options when a crisis hits. Without somewhere safe to turn, families can be at risk of being separated.

That’s where Mission Possible can step in—providing a safe place where mothers can stay with their children while receiving practical support, encouragement, and the opportunity to experience the love and hope of Jesus. ❤️

Summer Camps Are Underway—Please Pray

We received an update from our MP leader in Ukraine today.

Summer camps are taking place across the countries where Mission Possible serves, and lives are being impacted every day as children hear about the love and hope of Jesus. This week, however, we’re asking you to especially remember our team in Ukraine.

Their camp is underway, and we’re so thankful the children arrived safely despite many challenges along the way.

Please continue to pray for our team as they serve in very difficult circumstances. Air raid alerts and missile attacks have increased, and plans have had to change as they prioritize everyone’s safety.

As you pray for Ukraine, please also remember our teams serving at summer camps across Eastern Europe. Pray for God’s protection, wisdom, peace, and strength for every leader, and that children in every camp would experience the love and hope of Jesus. ❤️

As I head home today, I’ve been reflecting on the conversations that made this trip to TX and OK so special.

One of the highlights has been finally meeting people I’ve known for years—but only through calls, emails, and letters.

Yesterday I got to spend time with Larry and Barbara. They first heard Mission Possible’s founder, Ralph Mann, speak back in the 1970s and have been faithfully supporting MP ever since.

Hearing more of their story was such an encouragement. They’ve served the Lord through ministries like Mercy Ships and YWAM, and it reminded me how beautifully God connects His people. Different places, different ministries, different seasons—but one shared purpose: making Christ known.

Moments like this remind me that Mission Possible has always been about people—encouraging one another and joining together in what God is doing around the world.

This trip has also made me realize I’d love to have more conversations like these.

If I’m ever in your area, I’d love to meet you over a cup of coffee (or tea, in my case! ☕), visit your church or small group, or simply gather a few friends to share stories of what God is doing through Mission Possible. And if meeting in person isn’t possible, perhaps a regular Zoom update and time of prayer would be a great way to stay connected.

Some breakfasts fill your stomach.

Some fill your soul.

This morning I had the joy of sitting down with my friend Sherry, a faithful prayer warrior for Mission Possible for many years. We first met in 2011, when I had the privilege of taking Sherry and a team to Russia to serve at a summer camp for children from our shelter homes.

Most mission teams back then were full of teenagers. This team, shall we say, brought a little more life experience. 😊 But what seemed unusual at first became one of the greatest blessings of the trip.

Many of those children had never known the love of a grandparent. But they soon discovered it through hugs, bedtime stories, words of encouragement, games, laughter, and simply having someone who delighted in them.

It reminded me that God doesn't waste any season of our lives. Every stage has something beautiful to offer His Kingdom.

As we talked this morning, Sherry shared that she still prays for Mission Possible every single day. She reads every newsletter, and when a story moves her heart, she gives. But she also reminded me of something I've always appreciated about her:

"It has to have eternal value. I want to know people are coming to know Jesus."

I left breakfast encouraged—and challenged.

It also reminded me that this summer, Mission Possible teams are continuing this same ministry across Eastern Europe. Different faces. Different children. The same mission: sharing the love and hope of Jesus with the next generation.

Yes, Mission Possible meets practical needs. We feed hungry children, care for families, and support communities. But we do those things because we love Jesus and want people to come to know Him. Physical help matters—but the Gospel changes eternity.

Thank you, Sherry, for reminding me what a lifetime of faithful prayer, generosity, and love for the Gospel looks like.

Yesterday, this note came in with a donation to Mission Possible USA.

And the timing stopped me in my tracks.

I was on my way to visit with Ralph and Vicki Mann. Ralph founded Mission Possible in 1974 — and he is the man being spoken about in this note.
Decades ago, a meeting in a children’s hospital connected two families. Yesterday, all these years later, a daughter gave to Mission Possible in honor of her mother’s birthday because of that connection.

And last night, I got to sit with Ralph and share the note with him.

A seed planted that is still bearing fruit today.

It made me think about the thousands of lives touched through Mission Possible over more than 50 years — and all the people who prayed, gave, served, and said yes to God along the way.

What seeds are we planting today that God may still be using decades from now?

This morning, as I left, Ralph prayed for Mission Possible — for God’s calling, His vision, His people, and His resources. I’m excited - Are you?
