SCAM ALERT - We’ve received multiple calls today from our community reporting they received a phone call from someone claiming to be one of our officers. The scammer goes on to tell our resident that they have an arrest warrant for not attending jury duty or reporting to court as an expert witness. The scammer tells the resident they will need to pay money or face arrest.

*REMINDER* Our officers do not call residents to inform them of warrants and demand payment to avoid being arrested. THIS IS A SCAM. Simply hang up the phone on this scammer.

This scam attempt follows the Four Signs that it’s a Scam. Don’t fall victim to these scams.

The Community Connections Center has a new home!

The Village of Mount Prospect purchased a 21,000 sq. ft. building at 1601 E. Algonquin Rd. to expand the Community Connections Center that houses the Human Services Department and Mount Prospect Public Library South Branch. Occupancy of the building will take place in mid to late 2027.

This new location will be rebranded as the Mount Prospect Village Resource Center to represent its purpose of providing essential and accessible social, health, and library services to the community.

“We are excited to have found a new location in South Mount Prospect to ensure we continue to maintain our relationship with the community,” says Esther Salutillo, Deputy Director of the Human Services Department.
