🚧 Route 53 Project Update🚧

Higgins Road will be fully closed in both directions beneath I-290/Rte. 53 from 7 p.m. Friday, September 11, through 7 a.m. Monday, September 14.

Posted detours:

Eastbound Higgins Road: Meacham Road north to Golf Road, east to Arlington Heights Road, then south to Higgins Road.

Westbound Higgins Road: East Frontage Road north to Golf Road, west to West Frontage Road, then south to Higgins Road.

Please allow for extra travel time and consider alternate routes. These shutdown times are weather dependent..

The holidays are around the corner, and Elk Grove Township is working to ensure every Food Pantry family can enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving meal. With the Food Pantry serving an average of 1,100 families each month, community support is more important than ever.

We're raising $16,000 to help purchase holiday meal essentials for local families in need. Your donation will provide the ingredients for a complete Thanksgiving meal, bringing comfort and nourishment to neighbors this holiday season.

Together, we can make sure every family has a reason to be thankful.
