During this week leading up to Christmas, I want to take the time to thank everyone.
🎄 Thank you to everyone who purchased gifts for neighbors they don't know in order for them to have some Christmas magic this year!
🎄 Thank you to those who shopped from our wish lists to help provide winter gear and hygiene items for the recipients!
🎄 Thank you to those who donated money to our organization!
🎄 Thank you to our wonderful crew of volunteers, who showed up with Christmas cheer!
🎄 Thank you to the businesses that had tags on their trees this year!

Gift pick up and deliveries happened last week Monday and Tuesday. There were many "thank you" sentiments from the recipients, said with joy or with tears in their eyes. Many wouldn't have been able to have Christmas if it weren't for the generosity of the people in this community.

And that's what Christmas is all about: love for our neighbors.

Last call for Giving Tree gifts! Please have any gifts to us by the end of the day tomorrow (Tuesday, December 9).

* Drop off new, unwrapped gifts at the bin at Miller's next to the Christmas tree, or in between the two sets of front doors at the Mount Horeb United Methodist Church.

* Our last in-person gift drop off at the United Methodist Church is tomorrow (Tues, Dec 9) from 4-6 pm. Note: if the weather gets nasty, I may close up early. We need to keep our elves safe!

If you know your gifts won't be delivered to you in time, please email us at [email protected] or text us at 920-415-4474. We will make a note of it on our inventory sheets and arrange a time to meet you for pick up once they are delivered.

Help get these tables filled! Gifts are due by the end of the day on Tuesday (December 9), with TWO in person drop off dates!

Tomorrow (Sat, Dec 6) from 2-4 pm at the Mount Horeb United Methodist Church. Go around to the back of the church and leave it with any of the elves who will be inside the building.

Tuesday, December 9 from 4-6 pm at the Mount Horeb United Methodist Church.

If you can't make either of these in person events, you can leave the gifts at the bin at Miller's in Mount Horeb, or at the United Methodist Church (in between the two sets of doors in the front of the church), or email us at [email protected] to set up a time to meet us at the church.

Giving Tree tags will be up at Miller's until about 8 pm on Tuesday, December 2. (gifts are due no later than December 9- return to the bin at Miller's or United Methodist Church in Mount Horeb)

If you're not able to get there to pick up tags, our wish lists at Amazon, Target, and Walmart will be available through December 9. There are plenty of hygiene items still needed, as well as winter hats.

We wanted to take this time to thank everyone for your support with Giving Tree! It always brings tears to my eyes when I see how much love Mount Horeb has to give, and how much support we receive year after year. Thank you to everyone who has donated gifts, hygiene items, winter gear, and money to Giving Tree! We couldn't fulfill our mission without your help.

Thank you to our holiday elf volunteers- they give their all with smiles on their faces, just to bring joy to people at Christmas.

If you are looking to pick up some tags, the only two locations that have tags are Miller's and Yoga Space. Tags will be gone by the morning of Wed, Dec 3 and gifts due no later than Dec 9.

The virtual tree has 45 tags available to sign up for yet, and will be available through about mid-day this coming Sunday, November 23. After that, I'll be shutting it down to make paper tags, and will put those tags either at Yoga Space or Miller's for the week of thanksgiving. If you have been meaning to sign up for some gifts, visit the Sign Up Genius in the next few days before it gets taken down. - look through our long list of gift requests

Giving Tree donation bins are up at Miller's (Mount Horeb) and in between the two sets of doors at the United Methodist Church (Mount Horeb). The tree is up at Miller's, and 10 other locations have tags and are working on transitioning their stores from fall to Christmas. I'll post about the other locations next week once the tags are available there. The virtual tree should be live tomorrow or Monday, Nov 10. (Separate post for that too) The elves and I will be making another batch of tags on Monday, so the tree at Miller's will have more tags on Tuesday. A theme I'm seeing this year are less toys and more necessities being asked for: clothing, winter gear, essential care items, bedding. The tags will be up through December 2 at Miller's, and on the virtual tree through November 25.

1) fill out a paper form and bring it back to Neighbors Helping Neighbors on Saturday, November 1
