We’re turning 20, and there’s still time to be part of the celebration! Applications are open for the 20th Annual Spring Art Tour, and we want to see what YOU bring to the creative mix.
Painters. Potters. Jewelers. Sculptors. Fiber artists. Printmakers. Photographers. Makers of wonderfully unexpected things. There’s a place for creativity in all its forms!
Think you’re located too far away to join us? Think again! You can apply from anywhere in the world. If accepted, we’ll help you find an artist location within the Tour.
Join us for three days of art, open studios, demonstrations, conversations, and creative discoveries across the beautiful Driftless region of Wisconsin.

The Spring Art Tour is turning 20—and we’re looking for artists to help us make this milestone year one for the books.

Painter? Potter? Jeweler? Sculptor? Fiber artist? Printmaker? Photographer? Maker of wonderfully unexpected things? We want to see what you create.

Spring Art Tour May 15 - 16 - 17 Stop #15 – Cindy Reed (Argyle)
Mixed media work in an abstract realism style, created on live-edge wood and canvas. Cindy combines acrylic, pyrography, engraving, and inks to build richly layered pieces inspired by the natural forms of Wisconsin’s Driftless region.
During the tour, she’ll share her process—from journaling and surface selection to finishing techniques—along with live demonstrations.
Accessibility: Ample parking with easy entry to the log cabin. Garage or barn display available for wheelchair access.

Spring Art Tour May 15 - 16 - 17 Stop #16 – Sarah Aslakson (Blanchardville)
Painting shaped by over 50 years of exploration and growth. With a background in fine art and exhibitions nationwide, Sarah continues to evolve her practice through new techniques and inspiration.
During the tour, she’ll be working on sketches that develop into paintings and welcomes conversation about her process and work.

Spring Art Tour May 15 - 16 -17 Stop #2 – Julian Rohn-Capellaro (Arena)
Functional ceramics created on the potter’s wheel, exploring the balance between control and chance. Julian’s work highlights the beauty of process, with forms and surfaces that reveal how each piece is made.
During the tour, he’ll discuss the Japanese influence on his work, including his time with ceramic artist Akira Satake, and demonstrate techniques like hakeme brushwork—both in practice and philosophy.

Spring Art Tour May 15 - 16 - 17 Stop #3 – Jason Sromovsky (Mazomanie)
Woodwork guided by the natural form of burl, where each piece emerges through a process of refinement and response to the material. Jason’s work reveals what’s already present in the wood, shaped by both nature and hand.

During the tour, he may demonstrate carving and adzing techniques.

Accessibility: Street parking on Crescent and Cramer. Home entry requires 3 steps; some outdoor demonstrations may be more accessible.

Spring Art Tour May 15 - 16 - 17 Stop #11 – Luke Proctor (Mount Vernon)
Metalwork that highlights form, line, texture, and function—drawing from the Driftless landscape and early industrial blacksmithing techniques. Luke’s work celebrates visible joinery, turning structure into a key design element with stories rooted in agriculture and industry.
During the tour, visitors can explore the studio, see the tools and equipment, and learn about the forging process.
Accessibility: Studio located at the end of a gravel driveway with parking nearby. One-level space with flat, wheelchair-accessible entry.
