We have not officially added “monkey travel consultant” to the Mount Dora Visitor Center tourism team, but after his stop at Lakeside Inn, Mount Dora, we do have a few follow-up questions.
Mostly: where was he headed next?
If he was building a proper Mount Dora itinerary, we’re guessing it might include a little browsing at Walk in the Woods for outdoor-ready clothing, shoes, gear, and gifts before heading into the wilds of Donnelly Street.
Then, obviously, a banana situation at Claire's Creperie inside the Mount Dora Marketplace. We have to assume the banana and Nutella crepe would be the order.
After that, some open-air backyard energy at The Yardery Mount Dora, where lawn games, rooftop views, and a little swing time feel very on brand.
From there, it only makes sense that he’d follow the name signs to The Funky Monkey for cocktails, tapas, and downtown energy, then make his way to The Frog and Monkey, Mount Dora’s underground pub, because apparently this monkey did his keyword research.
And to close it out, a scenic detour through the Palm Island Boardwalk, where the trees, trails, lake views, and dramatic disappearance potential are exactly what a Mount Dora monkey itinerary requires.
Very important note: please do not approach, feed, or try to interact with wildlife, even if they appear to be researching a weekend getaway.
But since this little visitor has accidentally become Mount Dora’s most talked-about traveler…
Where else should he monkey around?
