A huge thank you to Jordan of GC PUD and the Grant County PUD team for inviting Grant County Animal Outreach to participate in the Benefit Fair at Ephrata Middle School! 🐾💙

Cyndle and Serena had an amazing time connecting with members of our community, sharing information about GCAO, and talking with so many wonderful people who support local organizations making a difference.

We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to be part of such a positive event and to stand alongside other organizations serving Grant County. Thank you for bringing the community together and for allowing us to share our mission with so many caring individuals! Until next time Grant County! 🐾💙

Do you remember Cerb, the Belgian Malinois mix who came into our care back in February with a severely broken front leg?

After veterinary evaluation, it was determined that amputation was the best option to relieve his pain and give him the chance at a happy, healthy future. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our donors and supporters, Cerb was able to receive the life-saving surgery he desperately needed.

Following his amputation, Cerb recovered in a loving foster home before making his way back to the shelter. It didn't take long for someone to see what we already knew. That despite everything he had been through, Cerb was an amazing dog deserving of a second chance.

Today, we're thrilled to share that Cerb has been adopted!

Stories like Cerb's are only possible because of this community. Every donation, every share, every foster application, and every act of support helps provide animals with the medical care, second chances, and happy endings they deserve.

When you support GCAO, you're not just helping animals. You are helping write success stories like Cerb's.

Thank you for making his journey from injury to adoption possible. 💙🐾

One of our amazing repeat Doggy Day Out participants, Lisa, recently spent an afternoon with Bagheera, and we just had to share what she had to say.

"She is the sweetest and most loving dog! She did great in the car and on our walk at the park. On our way back to our house, we stopped for some plain hamburgers that she gobbled up. She didn’t bark the entire time that I had her and didn’t jump up on me or my husband either. She stayed by my side the entire time that I had her and just wanted to be loved. She really stole my heart and she deserves the best home!"

Bagheera is a 6-year-old spayed German Shepherd mix who recently came into our care through no fault of her own. Her owner loved her very much, but due to their own declining health, they were no longer able to care for her.

As Bagheera settles into shelter life, staff have noticed that she appears to rely heavily on her sense of smell and hearing to navigate the hustle and bustle around her. It has been several years since she has seen a veterinarian, and we would love to get her a full senior wellness exam, blood panel, and eye evaluation to make sure she is as healthy and comfortable as possible as she enters her golden years.

Bagheera is everything you could want in a companion—gentle, affectionate, easy-going, and happiest when she's right by your side. Unfortunately, the shelter can be a confusing and overwhelming place for a dog like her.

We are currently looking for:
🐾 A sponsor to help cover the cost of her veterinary care
🐾 A foster home where she can relax and decompress while waiting for her forever family

If you would like to help Bagheera, please consider making a donation or applying to become a foster.
