Safety and Security: Our Priority One
At the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Columbia Basin, safety is the foundation upon which all our programming is built. Our Safety Policies are rigorous and strictly enforced to ensure that every child is protected while they explore, learn, and grow.
As noted in the update above, all parents and guardians must bring a valid photo ID for pick-up. This requirement is a vital component of our security protocol, especially as we welcome new, dedicated staff members to our Cle Elum team. By verifying IDs at every pick-up, we maintain a secure chain of custody and ensure that every child returns home safely.

Our final Youth of the Month for the 2025–2026 school year! 🎉

We are so incredibly proud of each and every one of our members this year. It has been a joy watching all of you grow, learn, and make lasting memories throughout the school year.

Special congratulations to our Youth of the Month recipients at McGraw! Thank you for being positive role models for your peers and our younger members. Your kindness, leadership, and hard work have not gone unnoticed.

As we reach our last day of club, we always find ourselves feeling both happy and a little sad. It's bittersweet saying goodbye to the familiar faces we've had the privilege of seeing every day. While we'll miss our daily routines together, we are excited to see all the amazing things you'll accomplish in the future.

Our partnership with our local Moses Lake Police Department Grant County Sheriff's Office - WA throughout the school year has been truly invaluable. Not only do these officers dedicate their lives to serving and protecting our community each day, but they also volunteered their time to be a part of our Safe Streets program.
Week after week, they showed up for our members, building meaningful relationships and becoming a familiar, trusted part of our routine. Their consistent presence gave our youth the opportunity to see law enforcement in a positive light, ask questions, learn important life skills, and develop mutual respect.

This partnership has played a vital role in helping us educate our members, strengthen community connections, and work together toward creating a safer and more supportive environment for everyone. We are incredibly grateful for the time, dedication, and care these officers have shown throughout the year. Thank you for making such a lasting impact on the lives of our youth! We thought it only fitting to show an art project from one of our students 😁
