We hold the core belief that opera is a powerful, and emotionally thrilling art form. Paradox Opera is dedicated to the fair and humane treatment of artists.

The purpose of Paradox Opera is to foster a new generation of both opera artists and audiences. Productions will include commissioned new works that focus on current issues, new translations of traditional operas with a topical twist, and operas reimagined for today’s audiences. We believe that the highest quality performances are created when the artist is an equal part of the creative process.

ONE WEEK (since you looked at me), Paradox Opera is taking over The Fruit for a night of opera, musical theatre, cocktails, cabaret chaos, and possibly the most unhinged thing we’ve ever produced. 👀

🎭 Don Giovanni (Abridged!) — our wildly profane, puppet-filled English adaptation of Mozart’s classic — starts at 8PM.

🎤 Then the night keeps going with Broadway After Dark: a late-night musical theatre cabaret & open mic featuring performers from Next to Normal, local artists, pianist Eric Luke, and special guests joining the festivities throughout the evening.

ONE ticket gets you access to the entire night.

If you’ve been waiting to grab tickets… this is your sign. We are officially in the “oh wow this is happening VERY soon” phase. And we SUPER LOVE people who get those tickets in advance!

What happens when opera’s most famous seducer petitions a heavenly judge for parole from Hell? Utter chaos. This one-act show features an assortment of famous arias & duets in a new (and spectacularly profane) English translation by Gwen Hyland — in other words, this is Mozart like you’ve never heard him before!
