The 5th District VFD business meeting is being moved to 11 August 2026. The meeting is being moved up by one week due to multiple members being on vacation during the standard meeting night.
Truck checks at 6pm, meeting at 7pm.
Public is always invited to attend and meet the members.

🚨Extinguisher Training🚨

Had some state training up here at Fifth Fire Department on using Fire Extinguishers yesterday! What a cool and neat way to learn how to use a fire extinguisher! We’re always trying to get some training in to help educate us to serve the community! Thank you to fourth district and Cromwell fire fighters that came out and trained with us!

Pump ops training yesterday was a success! Got some more training in to help educate us on helping our community! Thank you to Caneyville and fourth District Fire Firefighters for coming and getting some training in with us!! Also a big thank you to Chief Henderson for taking the time to help get us trained!!

Hello everyone! 🖐🏻 just wanted to hop on here and give everyone a little info about Fifth District Volunteer Fire Department and our members! Here are all our members and their rankings in the photo. Also if most did not know we have 2 stations for Fifth District Fire, we have our main station on Caneyville rd. Also our sub station out in Gilstrap! If anyone would like to join our family and help serve the community, you can message this page or get in touch with one of our members and we will gladly get ya an application!😁 we have meetings every 3rd Tuesday of the month your welcome to come and sit in and talk with us! our training officer is always on it with helping get everyone with the training they need! We will provide you with gear also!

We had a dunk booth competition this year set up between departments. Thank you to the sheriffs department (Joe Alford) 5th district (Will Dixon) 4th district (Steven sublet) and Butler co. Rescue Squad ( Jordan Peay)
