Moorpark Women's Club

Moorpark Women's Club The Moorpark Women's Club has marked over 100 years of service. The group was organized in 1905 at a meeting of women invited to the home of Mrs. John E.

Our purpose is to further the educational, cultural, and social well-being of our community, to unite our members in a close bond of friendship, and to be charitable. Smith and her daughter, Hope. From the beginning the Women's Club was service-oriented. In addition to the social aspect of this group, they did sewing projects for the needy, and made plans for a clubhouse which would serve as a lib

rary for the town. Members of the Moorpark Women's Club have always been generous with their talents and efforts in their fundraising projects. They have raised thousands of dollars each year with their main focus always on education: scholarships, schools, and libraries. Programs for the monthly luncheon meetings lean heavily toward environmental, cultural and historical subjects. Moorpark Women's Club is a member of the California Federation of Women's Clubs (www.CFWC.org) and the General Federation of Women's Clubs (www.GFWC.org).
