The 2026 General Election is over and residents, candidates and campaigns may be wondering what to do with any unwanted political signs?

Most of the "waffle board" signs are made from plastic and wire. Rather than tossing them out in the garbage, the Burlington County Department of Solid Waste Management and Recycling has a convenient location for residents and campaigns to bring signs so they can be recycled and kept out of the landfill.

Residents and campaigns are encouraged to bring any unwanted "waffleboard" plastic yard signs and frames to the convenience center at the Burlington County Resource Recovery Complex (22000 Burlington Columbus Road, Florence).

Signs should be bundled in stacks of 25 or less and any wire frames should be removed and dropped off separately.

The Resource Recovery Complex is open weekdays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. Residents with questions can call 609-499-1001 or email [email protected]

Light collection is coming back!

Don't throw those broken lights away. See below for drop off information.

Once again Sustainable Moorestown is teaming up with Moorestown Hardware, and Our Lady of Good Counsel Church (OLGC) to make sure your old Halloween and Christmas lights don’t end up in the landfill! 🌎♻️

🎉 How much have we saved so far?
Over the course of our efforts through the years we've already collected a whopping 10,600 pounds of lights for recycling as part of Burlington County’s electronic waste program! 🎅💡 That’s a lot of lights kept out of our landfills, and we couldn’t have done it without YOU!

🗓️ Drop-off Locations & Dates:
You can drop off your old lights at:
🔹 Moorestown Hardware (inside the store) – Starting Sunday, November 1st
🔹 OLGC Rectory (outside box) – Starting Sunday, November 1st.

You’ve got until late February, so let’s make this holiday season brighter for the planet! 🌍✨
