We miss it already!

Story in the local news about our annual Monarch Butterfly Workshop we held in September. Hopefully, the monarchs we released are well on their way South to Mexico by now.

We'll see you next year, and stay tuned for our next big event coming very soon🥞🥞🥞

Many thanks to neighbors and friends who came out yesterday to learn about monarch butterflies, take pictures with them, and release some on the playscape.

If you had a favorite moment, a fun monarch butterfly fact, or a great picture you'd like to share, please drop it in the comments:)

We hope to see y'all next year!

It's that time of year again!

Join us for our annual Monarch Butterfly Workshop, presented by nature enthusiast, environmental preservationist, and Monarch aficionado Glenn Curtis.

Before a backdrop of live eggs, caterpillars, chrysalises, milkweed, and butterflies, Glenn will use props and volunteers from the audience to describe and re-enact the Monarch's incredible metamorphosis and life cycle.

He will explain their importance to the environment, the dangers they face, and what we can do to help ensure that Monarchs are around for generations to come.

At the end of the presentation, participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and to examine and hold live Monarchs in all stages of their development.

For the Grand Finale, attendees will follow Glenn outside for a Monarch Butterfly release!

September 20th at 11am at the Moorestown Friends Meetinghouse.

Article in South Jersey Local News, courtesy of Christine Harkinson from The Moorestown Sun, about "FEP with Friends: Fur, Feathers, and Scales", a free event open to the public this past November 20th hosted by FEP and presented by Woodford Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge.

Participants learned about the refuge and its role in rehabilitating local wildlife, and were able to see animals up close while learning about unique characteristics and the dangers they face.

By all accounts, it was an exciting and educational experience for everyone who attended.

On December 18th from 7 to 8:30 PM at the Friends Meetinghouse, FEP will be presenting “Imagine That!”, a group theatrical improv event free to the public!
