👻 The only Ghost we want hanging around after Halloween… 💙

Meet Ghost, a handsome 7-year-old Weim whose name couldn’t be more fitting for Grey Ghost Rescue, or the month of October! 🎃🐾 And now we’re hoping we can work a little October magic and find this sweet boy his forever home.

Ghost is looking for a new family after his beloved owner had to make the incredibly difficult decision to surrender him due to her own health issues. She loved him dearly, and we made her a promise: we’re going to find this special boy the most amazing home.

According to his fosters, whoever adopts him is getting one pretty perfect Weim.

Ghost is a happy-go-lucky, go-with-the-flow guy who is gentle with everyone he meets. He gets along wonderfully with dogs big AND small, loves walks and hikes, and is great on leash. He knows his basic commands, follows directions, has no separation anxiety, and can be trusted to free roam the house without getting into trouble.

And perhaps most shocking of all… NO WEIM CRIMES! 😂👏

Ghost is carrying a few extra pounds right now, but he’s working on getting back to a healthier weight and would love an active family to keep those walks and adventures coming. Cats are currently unknown.

His next chapter may not have been planned, but we promised his previous owner it would be a good one. Now we just need to find the person who’s ready to fall in love with our Ghost. 👻💙

We keep asking ourselves how is Teddy still available?! 🧸 This handsome boy would really love a home to call his own! 🏠 Last weekend Teddy went up to Copper Mountain and conquered one of the busiest hikes in Summit County like a champ! ⛰️Then he was able to chill on a patio with other dogs and people without a care in the world! ☀️Teddy is eager to please, loves giving kisses and enjoys curling up next to his person on the couch. 🛋️ He’s continuing to work on and show improvement with house/fence reactivity. 🐕 Have questions about Teddy or our adoption process? Meet Teddy, a handsome 5–6-year-old Weim who spent WEEKS on the run as a stray before eventually landing in a shelter. No one came to claim him, but after just two weeks in his Grey Ghost foster home, we’re learning what an absolute gem this boy is.

His foster describes Teddy as chill, loving, easygoing, and happiest just being near his people. He’ll curl up beside you on the couch…but in true gentleman fashion, he actually asks permission before climbing up. 🥹

And his foster report card is looking pretty impressive:

🐾 5-star walker with no leash reactivity
🐾 Great with other dogs and currently living happily with both a male and female Weim
🐾 Potty trained and sleeps through the night
🐾 Trusted to free roam with no destructive behavior
🐾 No separation anxiety when left alone
🐾 Loves his food but has wonderful manners and patiently sits and waits
🐾 Much more laid-back than your typical high-energy Weim

He does have some fence reactivity that his foster has been working on, and he’s already improving! Cats are currently unknown.

After spending weeks out there on his own, Teddy deserves to know exactly where he belongs. And based on everything we’ve seen so far, someone is going to be VERY lucky to call this sweet boy theirs. 💙

The wait was worth it… Nickel is HOME! 🏡

After patiently waiting for the right person to come along, our beautiful five-year-old blue girl has officially been adopted, and we couldn’t have dreamed up a better match for her. 🐾

Nickel’s new dad is an experienced Weim owner who recently lost his last Weim. When he came across Nickel’s post, something just clicked. He knew she was meant to be his, and it turns out he was absolutely right. From the beginning, Nickel settled in beautifully and seems to know she is finally, truly home.

As the only dog, Nickel gets exactly what she was looking for: her person all to herself! She spends her days cuddled up beside him while he works from home, exploring her big backyard, and eagerly awaiting Chewy boxes filled with new stuffies. She’s even attended her first company BBQ and was a total rockstar. ⭐️

One of her favorite parts of her new life? Daily walks around the reservoir, where she is completely mesmerized by the fish jumping at sunrise. 🌅

We also owe a HUGE thank you to Nickel’s wonderful foster family. They gave her the time, patience, love, and security she needed while she waited for her forever person and showed her just how good life inside a loving home could be.

From waiting for someone to choose her to being the absolute center of someone’s world… this is exactly the happy ending we wanted for Nickel.

Happy tails, sweet girl. It’s only wonderful days ahead! 💙🐾

Still waiting…five year old beautiful, blue girl Nickel is still looking for her forever home! 🏡 Nickel needs to be the ONLY DOG.❣️She is smart, affectionate, loyal and happiest when she’s with her people.

She does well in a crate and is also trusted to free roam. She enjoys riding in a car and is able to use a dog door. Nickel knows basic commands and has wonderful manners in her foster home. 💕

She loves her daily walks and needs an owner who is strong since she can pull when excited on leash. Nickel also has a prey drive, and is very curious about all outside critters. No cats, please! 🦮 She will need a house with a fenced in yard where she can relax and safely enjoy the outdoors.

A home where someone is around often or works from home would be a huge bonus for this Velcro girl. Like many rescue dogs, Nickel struggles with change and can feel overwhelmed easily. Nickel will require a patient adopter who understands that she will need extra time while adjusting to a new environment. Those who know her will tell you she's absolutely worth it! 🥰
