The mission of the Regional Food Bank-Hudson Valley is to lead a network of partners to alleviate hunger, prevent food waste, and nourish the communities we serve.

Last week in the Hudson Valley, we were proud to join friends, supporters, volunteers, and community partners to announce our 2026 Thanksgiving Distribution. A special thank you to our key sponsors, Market 32 & Price Chopper, Resorts World, Central Hudson, Don & Kathy Frommer, St. Peter’s Health Partners, Madeline Spagnoli, and ThielGroup, LLC, for helping make this effort possible.

Together, we will provide 575,000 meals to 100,000 neighbors across 45 distribution sites throughout our 23-county service area, along with 10,000 meals for seniors living in low-income housing communities. This incredible undertaking is only possible because of the generosity and dedication of our sponsors, donors, volunteers, and community partners.

Last week, we welcomed agency partners and community leaders from across our 23-county service area for The Network Partner Conference at the Culinary Institute of America. It was a great day of learning, sharing ideas, and connecting with the people who make our work possible! Our Farm-to-Fork Gala Silent Auction officially opened Thursday night, and the bidding is underway! From unforgettable experiences and weekend getaways to unique packages, there are plenty of exciting items up for grabs, all while supporting a mission that matters.

The Regional Food Bank will be closed on Monday, October 12, 2026, in observance of Columbus Day/Indigenous Peoples' Day. We will reopen on Tuesday, October 13, 2026.

24 hours of volunteer action against hunger has wrapped up, and we are so appreciative of our community for coming together to join us for Hunger Action Month!

🍍✨ Fresh food. Fresh ideas. Healthier communities.

Today, thanks to our incredible partnerships, the generosity of the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York, and our dedicated Rockland Conservation & Service Corps volunteers, local food pantries received an abundance of beautiful fresh produce and dairy through our weekly Get Fresh Mass Food Distribution.

What can you make with today’s bounty? 🥭🥒🍍

Nutritionist Michelle Kleinman from the Rockland County Department of Health shares one delicious idea: a vibrant, nutrient-packed Fresh Pineapple Salsa made with many of the fresh ingredients distributed today.

Fresh fruits and vegetables are full of vitamins, fiber, and antioxidants that help support heart health, strengthen the immune system, and reduce inflammation—because Food is Medicine.
