Ace: " Well Marsha, you know that Casino Night is coming up on Nov 7 at the Monterey Inn Event Barn and Dare to Dream is one of the Highland non-profits that are going to benefit from funds raised there. There will be an Elvis impersonator, gambling games, delicious food and drink, and I am so excited to try my hoof at poker. Do you like my outfit?"
Marsha: I'm sorry Ace, but I don't think that horses are invited."
Ace: "What do you mean not invited? It's the Year of the Horse! Let's check the fine print in the Casino Night flyer included in the comments.

• Sensory Regulation: For individuals on the Autism spectrum, the world can feel loud and chaotic. The tactile experience of grooming a horse combined with the gentle, rhythmic vestibular input of riding can help soothe an overstimulated nervous system, helping participants find a deep, authentic state of calm.

Happy National Smile Day! If you’re looking for a reason to smile today, we highly recommend spending a few minutes with a horse.

At Dare to Dream, we get to witness some of the brightest, most hard-earned smiles every single day. Whether it's the pure joy of a rider sitting tall and balanced on horseback, the quiet peace of a client connecting on the ground, or our volunteers sharing a laugh in the barn—this arena is fully fueled by happiness.

Did you know that smiling actually releases endorphins and lowers stress? And honestly, it’s impossible not to smile when a 1,200-pound animal nudges your shoulder or gently takes a treat from your hand.
