A story of being in the right place at the right time: Founder Ann Marie and volunteer Denise were at a birthday party and talking with their friend Sandee about FED. Sandee mentioned that Foothill Unity Center's Pet Food Bank was in need of donations. Ann Marie had pet food in her car leftover from the Saturday morning distribution. Sandee graciously offered to take the food to Foothill Unity Center and loaded up her car. What a great connection that resulted in pet parents being able to care for their dogs and cats!

Gratitude post: PJTC congregants donated over 1 ton of food to Foothill Unity Center during our annual High Holy Days food drive. That's more than 2,150 pounds and counting!

We are still accepting donations of non-perishable foods through the end of the weekend (Simcha Torah). If you'd rather send a check, mail it to the PJTC office and put it"foothill unity" in the memo line. We already received $500 in monetary donations.

We would also like to thank PJTC members Vicky Balmot and Rochelle Weiss for spearheading this effort and caring so much about our fellow Pasadenans in need. Unity Center
