On Monday, June 1, Dan Nufer was presented with a Certificate of Recognition for his 20 years of dedicated service to the citizens of Monroe and Green County. The recognition was presented by Mayor Tom Miller during the Monroe City Council meeting.

Former Mayor Donna Douglas also shared a heartfelt letter reflecting on her role in helping hire Dan and the positive impact he has made throughout his career.

Following the recognition, Dan had the honor of introducing the new Chief, Hanne Rieger, to the council.

We thank Dan for two decades of leadership, dedication, and service to our community and congratulate Chief Rieger as she begins this new chapter of service to Green County and Monroe.

Yesterday, we had the honor of celebrating the graduation of one of our own, Nathan Richardson. Nate began in our apprenticeship program and went on to complete his EMT Basic certification during his senior year. Congratulations, Nate! We’re proud of all you’ve accomplished and excited to see what the future holds for you.

The crew also had the opportunity to head out to Honey Creek Park to catch a soccer game and enjoy the evening together.
