I need to give a huge THANK YOU for the crew of volunteers that stepped up and helped at the concession stand this spring since I was double booked because of my son’s volleyball.

Not only did profits beat prior spring seasons…this season outdid ALL other seasons (with exception of the fall seasons) since I’ve been keeping records ~ $500 more than the most profitable winter season to date!!

There were so many volunteers that helped and my heart is full knowing we have these kind of people in our little town. 🥰

A special shoutout to Marissa Esteves who covered many, many games and even helped to bail me out when schedules got changed last minute so I could watch my son. Thank you Marissa! 😘

It takes a village and this village showed up!

Sorry....long post - just needing some Masuk Pride help! 🐾

The past few years I have been able to open/run concessions at the Field House for almost all spring games because my son wasn't at Masuk yet and then he didn't play a spring sport his freshman year. This year is different as he is playing volleyball and there are a lot of overlapping games where I won't be available to open/run the stand myself. I will stock it, but this year we truly need the volunteers to ensure the stand is open for the majority of the varsity games. My goal every season is that the stand is open for every varsity game, but that takes the village to make that happen.

What I'm asking is for you is to consider volunteering your time for one game/meet. It only takes two people in the stand - honestly, just one volunteer can do it...but it's nice to have back up and someone to chat with. Track meets can get very busy so it's better to have two volunteers for those. It's easy to run - no cooking hot food. Just snacks, drinks, cup of noodles, and sometimes I get ice cream treats for when it gets warmer.

In addition to the sign up links below, I am including the MASBC website. I have recently updated it and it clearly explains what the Booster Club provides to the Athletic Department and to our student-athletes. Concessions may not feel like a big money maker on individual nights...but it is in the long run! I recently tallied up my net profits from what concessions has made since I started keeping track in the Fall of 2022. I didn't have good records in 2019 and then covid hit which halted concessions for a bit. Anyway....we have made over $70k in profit in concessions sales! Seeing that number has definitely inspired me to keep pushing for volunteers to open the stand as often as possible. PLUS, the kids love it and many visiting schools rely on it to grab a snack - especially the track athletes!

I know firsthand that parents are asked for a lot of when it comes to fundraising for their individual teams so to ask them for one more thing is not easy. That's why I would like to see if each parent can volunteer at least one game. Perfect opportunity for underclassmen's parents to pay it forward! Or volunteer now if your student-athlete isn't in a spring sport!
