4-H is a fun program where youth “Learn by Doing.”
Our goal is to help our youth grow into responsible and productive members of society through engaging community service opportunities and exciting team-building activities. Through 4-H, hundreds of thousands of North Carolina’s young people learn new skills and serve their communities each year. 4-H offers clubs, special interests, livestock shows, educational curriculum, and camp experiences.

Discover how technology, patterns, and communication connect!

November 10, 2026, 5:00 - 6:00 pm at the Davie County Public Library.

At this month’s 4-H STEAM workshop, participants will dive into robotics and coding logic as they use color-sensing tiles to steer Sphero Indi cars through custom challenges. Participants will also explore another form of code by assembling a personalized bead bracelet featuring their initials or a secret Morse code message to take home.

Youth of all ages are welcome. Free, beginner-friendly, and all materials are provided!

🏆 4-H Alumni and Adult Awards — Celebrate individuals, families and partners who have made a lasting impact on 4-H across North Carolina.
🗓️ Nominations are due October 26.

🍀 4-H Volunteer Leaders’ Association Awards — Recognize outstanding 4-H volunteers and supporters for their service and dedication.

Join Nelson Cowden, Shooting Sports Club Leader, for an outdoor adventure! Participants will hunt for wild autumn treats (like hazelnuts, beechnuts, and sweet muscadine grapes) and learn how to identify local tree species.

Join Davie County 4-H and the Davie County Public Library on Tuesday, September 8th, from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM for our next hands-on STEAM adventure at the library!

Calling all young scientists and nature lovers to dive into the wild world of bugs and discover why these small creatures play such a huge role in our environment.

During the program, youth will will participate in hands-on activities, explore fascinating facts about different creepy-crawlies, and learn how insects keep our local ecosystem healthy. We will also get a jump start on the upcoming spring season by crafting DIY bee houses for participants to take home. Setting up your bee house early gives local pollinators a cozy shelter ready and waiting for them when warm weather returns.
