A small change in tax law could have a big impact on our nonprofit community.
A recent LinkedIn post by Christina Gorczynski https://lnkd.in/e5TPKvTr
got me thinking about how this could benefit the nonprofits and communities we serve.
Starting in 2026, individuals who take the standard deduction can deduct up to $1,000 in qualifying cash charitable contributions, or $2,000 for married couples filing jointly.
As a CPA working with nonprofits, businesses, and individuals, I’m excited about the opportunities this presents.
I've shared a few thoughts on what this means for nonprofits, individual donors, and business owners.
Nonprofits do incredible work, often with limited resources. This change gives us another reason to talk about charitable giving and the difference our contributions can make.
While tax savings are great, the real value lies in the impact we can achieve together.
