A heartfelt thank you to the Davie Community Foundation for your continued support of our mission, especially our Kaleidoscope Kindergarten Readiness Playgroups! We are grateful for the opportunity to serve our youngest children and their families, helping build strong foundations and develop skills that will last far beyond those first five years. Your investment is making a lasting difference in the lives of Davie County families!

Smart Start of Davie County, Inc. received a grant for their Kaleidoscope Play with a Purpose Kindergarten Readiness Playgroups.

The program provides weekly, 90-minute early learning playgroups for children birth to age five and their caregivers, led by trained and certified educators. Through intentional learning activities, developmental guidance, and caregiver modeling, playgroups help strengthen kindergarten readiness, caregiver confidence, and positive caregiver-child relationships. Sessions are offered at Smart Start and at community locations throughout Davie County, making the program more accessible to families and especially beneficial to children who may not have access to formal childcare or preschool.

Caregivers also gain practical strategies to support their children’s development at home, extending learning beyond each playgroup and helping children build the skills they need for a successful start to kindergarten.
